Past State President - Jerry Shoults
From State President Jerry Shoults: "Elkdom - It's A Wonderful Life!"
THANK YOU MINNESOTA ELKS!!
Minnesota Elks are among the best in the nation. As we attended the Grand Lodge Session in Orlando, we were all very proud of the accomplishments throughout our great state. The contributions our members make should cause all to be proud.
I am extremely honored to serve as your President this next year. We have a lot of work to do and need to continue to work even harder to keep our Lodges strong and healthy. Please take this very seriously and strive to grow your Lodges and use your facilities as much as possible.
All of us are members because we care about our youth, veterans and communities. I want to encourage each Lodge to get more involved in your local community by taking on a special project (one or more) and making it an Elks Project, using your members as volunteers to enhance your city. With cities experiencing financial cuts, now is the time to step forward and help. Make your project one that the community at large will come to identify with your Elks Lodge; this will make a lasting impression that lets them know that the Elks Lodge is a cornerstone of the community!
Please let me know what you are doing and how you have impacted your neighborhoods. Good luck to all and have fun doing the great works of Elkdom, because as we all know
"Elkdom - It's a wonderful life!"
Fraternally,
Jerry Shoults
