Mission Statement:
"The Minnesota Elks Veterans Service Commission is devoted to supporting our military members by providing Recreational Therapy, support and funding for our nations Veterans and military personnel; their children, and spouses.”

The information on this page represents what the Elks do for Veterans Locally and across the Nation. All of the Minnesota Elks Lodges have access to these programs, however many have additional programs suited for their area.
  • Adopt A Veteran: Providing friendship and assistance to local vets. More info
  • Welcome Home Kits: Providing items helping homeless veterans move into a new home. More info
  • Veterans Day Events: Including free meals, recognition and appreciation on veterans day
  • VA Visits: Visits to the local VA hospital or VA home to socialize, play games and provide companionship
  • VA Leather Program: Takes donated deer hides and provides leather gloves for vets in wheelchairs as well
    as provides a means for veterans to transform the hides in to leather activity kits. More Info
  • Re-Creation USA: Providing entertainment across the country to all hospitalized Veterans. More Info

Outdoor Programs for Veterans
Are you a Veteran, or know of a Veteran who enjoys hunting and fishing, but have physical limitations that prevent doing so? We partnered up with Camp Ripley to provide a guided experience free of charge with you in mind! http://www.mnvetsoutdoors.org.
