Youth Scholarships

There are multiple scholarships offered by the Elks through our Youth Programs. They include the following:
  • Most Valuable Student (MVS) Scholarship
  • Legacy Award
  • Emergency Educational Grant

Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The Most Valuable Student scholarship is open to all high school seniors who are American citizens. The deadline for application to the local Lodges is typically the first week in December. Check with your local Lodge. ALL applications MUST be submitted online. Click here to link to all the information you need to know on the national Elks web site. If you have any questions or issues with the application and/or the process please don't hesitate to contact your local lodge for assistance. Legacy Award
The Legacy Award scholarship is open to children and grandchildren of Elk members in good standing in the Order. This application process is made directly to the Grand Lodge (national) level and can be submitted ONLY online. Please use this link to the Legacy brochure for more information. The deadline for applying for the Legacy Award is generally the end of January. Check the Grand Lodge web site here for all the details.

Emergency Educational Grant
The EEG program provides financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks who wish to obtain or further their education. See fact sheet for more information. Please call 773-755-4732 or email scholarship@elks.org to request an application. Applications become available May 1 and must be submitted to the Elks National Foundation by October 31.
