Passing of Jack St. Martin, Bemidji Lodge
Vicki and I our sorry to announce the passing of my Father, Colonel John (Jack) St. Martin yesterday, December 12. He was 88 years old.
My Dad lived the very definition of the American dream. He grew up poor. Served his country in the Army, and became a successful business man. He loved Colonel Sanders and The KFC family. Bemidji State University that awarded him an honorary degree. He especially loved being a member of the ELKS, serving in many positions including Past State President, and at the Grand Lodge. He was most proud of his service and dedication to the Minnesota State Elks Youth Camp. As a student of history, I have been inspired by many great people, but none as great as the man I was fortunate to have 56 years with. Ave Atque Vale, Colonel!
Memorial services will be held this summer.

Urgent Call To Action for Electronic Gaming
As you may already know, MLBA was the driving force behind getting electronic forms of pull tabs and BINGO into Minnesota bars with charitable gambling back in 2012. Earlier this week the Minnesota House Commerce Committee passed a bill that would substantially and negatively change e-pull-tabs and electronic linked BINGO - reducing player entertainment, AND stripping needed revenue for bars, restaurants, and local charities. Full notice here.

Thank you Minnesota Elks!
Hi, Lynn! I just wanted to send along this photo of the wonderful welcome sign that Minnesota gave us last year. We bought a home in Ocean Park, Washington and thought our front porch would be the perfect place to display it. Please let the Minnesota Elks know how much we appreciate their generosity. See you in New Orleans! See the welcome sign...
